Where there is water, there is tranquility
Do you know of anyone who does not love to look at a swimming pool with picturesque water features? How many of you go to a friend’s house and leave in awe thinking about their beautiful pool? Were you aware that the sound of running water has been shown to reduce the stress hormones, cortisol, and epinephrine? The elevated levels of these hormones help to contribute to many health problems.
Water features have many benefits. When erected around a swimming pool or built within, they can create a variety of stunning effects. The possibilities are limitless and range from small and simple bubblers to large natural rock waterfalls and grottos. Pool water features create a constant flow of water directly into the pool.
At GPC, we create unique water features from deck jets, natural rock waterfalls, sheer descents, spillways, water bowls, water fountains, bubblers, gushers, grottos, and more. Take a look below where we show you just a few. Get in touch with us so we can provide you with more information in detail.
Deck Jets
Deck jets, otherwise known as pencil jets, shoot thin streams of water from the pool deck into the pool. They are most often built along the side of geometric pools. These jets are especially fun for young children to go through with their puddle jumpers on. And for the adults, well, they love them too.
Rock Waterfalls
Rock waterfalls are magnificent to provide a natural or tropical resort-like feel to any pool. Not only are they great to look at, the trickling sound of water flowing down from one rock to another is quite soothing. Add the right plantings along side or construct a slide within for both children and adults to enjoy, than you’re all set.
Sheer Descents
Sheer descents offer a dynamic focal point. A clear arc of water projects away from a raised wall into your swimming pool. They are custom-built at any size and shape. The falling water can be in the form of a rushing mountain waterfall to a silent, glass-like sheet of water. The higher the wall the louder the sound of water will be.
Fountains
Water fountains can be created in a wide variety of sizes and shapes and can be placed anywhere around the pool. A spillover fountain will allow water to flow from a higher level, whereas fountain bowls placed along side will allow water to flow for a different look.
Bubblers
Bubblers are exactly what the name states, they bubble. They are most often built within a tanning ledge or in the pools shelf. Bubblers are also a great place for little children to play and splash. The bubbles can be subtle to buyont.
Grottos
A grotto is a waterfall feature that resembles a cave. It is usually built in the form of rocks with a hidden nook big enough to swim through. Our grottos are custom designed in height, width and style to match the decor of the poolscape.
